"Thank you Tina for the most enjoyable Thai massage. I have lived in Thailand for over 5 years and had lots of Thai massages. Yours have been most professional and custom made for my needs. It was also very complimentary to the yoga workshop and the perfect addition for a successful weekend. I'll make your massages a regular part of my life!"

On Monday 30th March 2009 I visited Tina Conidis to experience my first ever traditional Thai massage. I went with just a basic idea of what to expect and knew that Thai massage worked on energy realignment and had its roots in Buddhism.
On arrival Tina asked me to fill in my personal details and if I had any medical conditions that she should be aware of such as high or low blood pressure, diabetes or heart problems, also, whether I had recently undergone any surgery. We then chatted about my reasons for trying Thai massage and what I could expect to feel after the treatment.
Tina practices both Thai body massage and Thai foot massage, I was lucky enough to be experiencing both.My treatment began with a foot massage to relax me before we went into the body massage. The foot massage began with the cleansing of the feet and then gentle massage of all areas of the feet.To me it felt a little like reflexology and by the end of the treatment I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep!
Then the body massage begun.Tina began at my feet whilst I was lying down and worked her way up my legs with strong pressure. She then worked on my hip joints and I could really feel my joints opening up.She applied pressure but just the right amount, there was no pain just a sensation of stretching. She then worked on my back, lower and upper and throughout the treatment used a number of yoga positions that I was quite aware of through my practice of yoga.At the end of the treatment she massaged my shoulders and neck, head, forehead and temples using a technique very similar to Indian head massage.
After the treatment I felt completely energised and very relaxed.Having suffered from stress and anxiety for many years I knew instantly that this treatment would benefit me greatly.Thai massage is also the perfect compliment to yoga as the treatment works on stretching and flexibility, certainly one that athletes could benefit from as well.
Tina ended the session by getting some feedback from me and offering me some water.Like any form of complimentary therapy keeping hydrated after the treatment is essential so drinking water is very important.
In summary I really enjoyed the treatment and am writing this just before I hit the sheets knowing that a great night’s sleep is ahead of me.I’II definitely be booking another!!
